Great Shade

Beautiful area tucked inside a beautiful valley. All sites are wonderfully paved & shadded but extremely unlevel. Be prepared bring your leveling devices.

Coronavirus Retreat

Spent a nice week camping and hiking on our way home to VA. A variety of sites here, some more level than others. #22 is level and right across from a nicely maintained comfort station with hot showers and washer and dryer. They have lots of deer, but they look healthy. The golf course looks great as does the ski area. Looks like they boarded up the bathroom for coronavirus today, so we are leaving. Nice hiking trails, well marked. Especially liked hiking bald knob near the ski area.

Needs Upgrade

Been coming here for years and the campground is showing its age. Sites need to be updated and pavement needs to be redone. No WiFi. Love the park but campground is lacking.

Be Forewarned

Unfortunately it rained the entire weekend we stayed in the campground. The bathhouses were clean and well maintained. Be forewarned (luckily we were) that the skunks are very comfortable with people. I had one less than 2 feet from me dining on our dog's food.
