Spectacular, Get Here Early
Spent 3 nights here in a 35' TT. Got here on a Thurs and 1 site we could have squeezed into with a shoehorn, and only one other site we were fairly comfortable in...cozy, but comfortable. LOTS of tents and car campers...many of those in the bigger sites for RVs. Very family friendly and dog friendly...not a criticism since I'm a grandpa of 9 and have been a dog dad most of my 75 years. Very easy beach access and easy access (though an hour + away) to most of the western side of the park (that's why you're here, right?). VERY loosely monitored, if at all. Never saw a ranger and there's a "host" parked in the host spot, but had an "off duty" sign in front all 3 days. Supposed to be "no picnic table, no parking", but we saw many people cram into any bare spot they could find and nobody chased them away. Could be mistaken for a homeless encampment, but everyone was very chill and respectful of others. Flush toilets, no sinks. 2 bars AT&T. Good solar and Starlink. $20/$10 Sr pass

Great Place!
One of those places where if you get one of the great places you love it. If you show up late in the dark on a weekend you get leftovers. Not a lot of BIG stuff in here but a 30 ft. Class C is kind of normal and all of the Class B vans.
Planned on 4 nights might stay for 6. And it rains, but you knew that right?

Surprise
This was our first family camping event in WA and although we were aiming for Kalalouch Campsite (it was full upon our arrival), we discovered that South Beach was an even better fit for our family. You are steps away from the beach and the sea breeze and waves just put you to sleep. The amazing sunset just makes it for some amazing memories. Our kids truly enjoyed their time there and Keith (the big guy in charge) was a friendly face with great service and stories. Close to the HOH Rainforest, Big cedar tree, Tree of life, Ruby beach and more. Highly recommend! No hookups but the bathrooms are cleaned and spacious sites we had #19 and it was perfect for our 20x20 tent.

Love This Place
Been coming here for 9 years, always try to get site 47. They provide absolutely nothing so bring what you need. The views are great and it is so peaceful. Saw seals and whales today. They are catching perch in the surf and this site has its very own path down to the beach. Scatter my ashes here

Can’t Beat View
Beautiful spot with beautiful Pacific ocean views, nice beach, no electric, tables and fire pits/bbq at each of the 56 sites.

Very basic on the ocean but not very pretty and mud. Lot of big rigs snug the ocean and block view. Go north a little way and find some beauty

Very Basic
But great spots overlooking the ocean. We plan to come again if ever in the area again. Very relaxing.
