Well, I made it

Via quite treacherous road, small washboardy and steep with a lot of switchbacks, the campground is basic, the lake looks overgrown, but it is part swamp, part lake. A public beach gives access to water fun. No lifeguards.

Nice park. It's small, so even when it's full, there are not a lot of people. Some sites are very close together, so slide outs could be an issue there. Grassy area between sites is nice. Hiking, swimming beach is a county beach and it is crowded on weekends.
