Pet Free Best Policy Ever

Finally someone with some sense! Many people with pets seem to forget the filth animals leave..they may pick up but the bacteria still remains..we are sick and tired of watching dogs relieve themselves. People with pets are no different than the people who smoke in your space!

Beautiful Place

I read many of the reviews which were negative and was worried I would regret staying here but I’m so happy to be here now. Obviously pet owners are upset that they can’t stay during peak periods but the place is awesome. Fair space between sites, shade trees, green and well kept, very attentive and helpful staff including the great person who set up my reservation. Close to the lake and with everything the city parks department has to offer. If you have kids this is a no brainer. The downsides are few but the sites are short so long trailers or RV’s just fit on the asphalt and the tow vehicle needs to park angled in. Just remember the extra grass between your awning and your neighbor. My sewer drain was rather high so my sewage didn’t want to drain good, I’m going to have to get a quality hose cradle. Not all sites had this issue. It’s the spot to be at and it’s worth the extra money. I’d stay here again.

No pets is no family as someone always has a pet. To bad

Good location close to town. Walk or cycle. Plenty of room on sites. Not full as we would have expected. Maybe $55 a níght is too much.

No Pets Memorial Day Thru Labor Day

Sadly no pets allowed, most pet owners take responsibility for there animals and clean up after them. We wont be staying here.

The booking system has become next to impossible. We have stayed here for over 35 years but no longer. The prices have continued to rise as the quality (on all levels) has decreased. When we ask about the negitive changes they've made to the booking system the response basically came back as we usually have a full camp ground so to bad. Due to the demand for camping sites the park system attitude has totally changed away from customer service to an attitude of lack of respect for the people who are really paying their salaries. This attitude starts at the top city park officials and has seriously worked it's way down thru the various pay grades.

Nice Park, But No Pets

The launch and marina are amazing, and campground is very well kept. Pretty pricey, but it would be worth it. The big killer here is no pets memorial day through labor day, so we won't be planning any summer trips here!

I LOVE the no pet policy! Pet owners are the worst because they all assume that the rules apply only to other people's pets, but not theirs! Barking, fighting, running free and pooping are just fine for their mutts.

Not Worth It Anymore

Used to go every year. Prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Booking has become more impossible than ever with their new online booking system! All it does is boot you out every time you try to reserve a spot! Finally gave up and booked sun lakes instead! I'm sure it doesn't matter to them that they are losing business but, as a business owner, I know there's no excuse for this!
