Free Dogs
We are not using any amenities because every time we open our camper door, a free dog or two comes by. There is a safe fenced in dog run, but some campers feel fine with releasing their dogs to free range the campground.
Also, they chose the wrong site size for our rig. Put us in a small space when plenty of the larger field sites appeared available. To pull out, I have ten feet in front, a tree on my passenger side of the camper, and the hookups on the driver's side of the camper. Have no idea how I am going to be getting out of this space, today. Best case senario... the back end swing takes out the branches of the tree. Backing out is not an option due to campers set up behind us. My Truck is 20ft/ camper is 40ft.

Bad impression
Tried calling and leaving messages for hours. It was weird though, the answering machine just said "This is Jody, sorry I missed your call.". So we weren't even sure the number we were calling was the campground although I verified the number through multiple avenues. But based on the reviews and as Passport America members, we really wanted to take advantage of the price. However, we never received a return call, but decided to just show up as we had called the other four campgrounds right next to this place and they all said they had many openings, so we figured we still had a shot. Got here only to discover TWO people working (both looked really rough), and tons of open spots. We took one but shouldn't have. After at least an hour of picking up broken glass from multiple beer bottles (didn't want our puppy to get cut), I can only hope and pray we leave here still safe and with our brand new tires in tact. This place is scary and a good reason to avoid PPA campgrounds.

Really Quite Nice
What's not to like? The Passport America rate was $13.50 and .50 cents more for using a credit card. So, I paid a grand total of $14 for a large, level space with full hook-ups, easy access from I-10, a nice and warm (it was freezing outside!) tile restroom, and a whopping 52(!) Cable channels to help pass a cold evening. I've paid triple that and not received half as much. The manager was nice and laid back. They even had a small dog run. Lazy customers had not picked up after their dogs, ruining a good thing, but, hey, I didn't expect a dog run anyway.
I always chuckle when people stay beside a train track and then complain about the train noise, especially in the west where the railroad is everywhere. You are hereby informed there is a train track, so don't stay here and then complain about it. Same goes for interstate noise. You can't have it both ways - stay near I-10, easy on & easy off, then gripe about road noise. Actually, we couldn't hear any Interstate noise.

One Night Great -
Our second time at this campground. We always stay here if timing is right.. great price with passport America rate. $13.50 cash/$14 CC. we ate dinner at the Mexican Restaurant featuring John Madden.. a one time see.. cost of dinner plus campground was CHEAPER then cost at other campgrounds in town!
Our first time there was like “Lets not come back because of the trains”, but this time there were still trains and they stopped at about 11 pm and started at 5 am. Do get some I10 noise.. We used ear plugs and it was perfect. They have added another lot for big rigs in tow... lots are level, new power boxes... They are updating the office. Didn’t use any facilities, cable or WiFi. Easy in easy out..

So So
FH, wifi, cable, helpful staff, clean laundry, good PA price. Had areas of concern. Site numbers are red on red post which were impossible to see at night, leaky faucet at hookup and noisy traffic! Several times a night train whistled and constant traffic noise; thus the low rating.

Terrific over night stop. Trains are very nearby, but we never have a problem with them. Big, spacious lots. Easy access to Interstate.

Overnight Stop
Nice place for an overnight stop. Big rigs would have enough room to get around, pull thru spots. Near railroad tracks and I 10 but noise didn’t bother us. Would stay here again if passing through. Great passport America rate.

Great For One Night
This park accepts Passport America so the rate was great. Basically a large parking lot with hookups. Big rigs fit fine. Would stay here again if passing through as we don’t need amenities, just need hookups and room to maneuver our big rig. There are train tracks and I-10 nearby but we have a fan we use for white noise at night so we did not hear them.
