We stayed for a weekend to go tubing on the Brazos River. It definitely lives up to it's name. We paid for both sides of the buddy site we were in. Very close and shared 1 patio area w/picnic table/fire ring.
Cigarette butts and everything previous visitors left behind. Asked office for a rake to clean but they had none.
We were told both sides had 50 amp full hookups. The first side we tried was only 30 amp and the power tripped off within 5 minutes of turning on the a/c. no breakers around though the girl at the office told us where they supposedly were. So we had to switch to the pull in side (very shady but some low branches to watch for) where a 50 amp was mounted on a tree. Water pressure was so low, it stopped when we had the regulator on. Sewer access was broken/sunk and all I will say is: dumping into a full, backing up sewer is a nightmare.
We enjoyed the river but camping there was not relaxing. Interstate traffic was directly next to us so very loud, as expected.
