Nice Spot
This is a nice little spot in Menard, Texas. It's nothing real fancy. They have full electrical and water hook ups 30 and 50 amp. Picnic tables and grills in the camping areas. There is no longer Wi-Fi. That was a little disappointing. One thing that is really nice is thats right on the San Saba River. There's an excellent area to go fishing. The price is real good in my opinion. Easy access with pull through areas.

One Night Stay
Nice quiet dirt park with lots of trees. Beautiful short walk to the river. Easy to get to, only a mile off the main road. Some full time residents, workers and open pull through spots. No amenities. The gentleman that parked us was very nice. The only reason not 5 stars is the dirt road. We would stay again.

Great Staff
County owned campground. No frills campground. Manger is super nice and is cleaning up the park as the funds drip in. Free laundry showers . The bathhouse is clean but they are old and worn out lacking maintenance. If a toilet breaks just remove and plug the hole..Don't let that discourage you it safe quite and beautiful.. Not to mention a stream boarders it.. One advice the near by county park next door has some mean fire ants watch out where you step

Nice Place!
Super friendly owner! Can't beat 20$ for full hookup. Big trees and shade. Would definitely come back.

Cute But Rustic
Love the $15/night rate for 30 amp and water. Adjacent to the San Saba river and somewhat scenic with grass and big oak trees. Bathrooms are a work in progress, toilets and showers work, sinks and countertops have not been cleaned in awhile. Bathhouse is the blue cinder block building next to the brown wood office. Full hookups are $20/night. 25 spots total, 5 are FHU, and 4 tent sites down near the river. We would stay here again.

Great Spot!!
Quiet park, full hook-ups, and only $20 a night! It's a smallish park with about 12 slots. We had no trouble getting our 33ft class c towing a car on a dolly into the spot we picked. Beautiful shade trees everywhere and access to the riverfront. Free laundry machines for guests. We would definitely stay here again.
