Disappointed
Salmon lake campground is a mixture between an off the beaten path campground and a destination style park. The campground is fairly large and has numerous old buildings and vehicles to look at as well as a lake to swim and play. At this campground there is a stage for them to host music type festivals, so the campsite layout makes sense to maximize getting as many RVs on the property as possible. The campsites were established in their open fields of grass, are very tight and far from level. The building that originally attracted us to the park are now dilapidated and unsightly. There is a vast difference between vintage/rustic and dumpy/neglected.
There are no reservations available for a specific sites and the vast majority of campsites are 30 amp. The water is also heavily sulphuric which isn’t a bad thing, it was just a shock.

Unique, Old TimeyTown Park
Restored buildings to replicate a western town are the center piece of this park. A small lake for swimming with a big slide gives a cool place in the summer. Electric, water, and sewer hook ups make it very convenient. Visited for a Bluegrass festival and had a great time.
