Beach Views, But...
If you want beach views & access to the beach, this is your RV park but you'll sacrifice security & well maintained amenities. We stayed for one week & utilized the pool/bathrooms, both needing updating as well as repairs {exposed electrical connection boxes, cracked pool tiles}. The three gates leading into & out of the park either do not close completely or they are broke & do not close at all, allowing access to the general public {the park is adjacent to public beach parking & a dead-end street where people park illegally overnight on the beach}. We witnessed several "Looky Lou's" driving through the park from the beach, as well as non-guest accessing the park to use the bathroom/pool facilities {Regulars tell us this has been a problem for years}. Armbands must be worn in the pool, however this is not enforced. This could easily be fixed by having a coded entry gate into the pool area for paying guests. The ladies at the desk were helpful, however the male attendant was very rude.

Nice pad but High Priced & Not Flexible
Not on the beach as one of the pictures makes it appear... walking distance though.
Also not flexible- we needed to cancel our last night and called over a day before and they wouldn't give a refund.

Close To The Beach W/O Sand
We stayed here for 8 days during the Lone Star Rally. The bad news, the rally was cancelled yet thousands of bike's/RV's/people swarmed the island. We weren't there specifically for the rally and on an up note, the Normal Price of $139 was dropped to $60 per night due to the closure. So far, we've stayed at Jamaica Beech, Delanera and now the sand piper. So far the Sand Piper fit our needs the best, wide deep concrete spaces with room to park extra vehicles. Very important to us is security and although we felt safe, the facility has minimal security if any at all and is open to general traffic foot and auto. Each site has a small yard with good grass. The cable TV was what it was, many breaks in coverage with pixilling, but a satisfactory number of channels. Didn't use the pool or any other support facility. Never say management. Did see several customers open carrying - always makes me wonder if the open carrying people can actually shoot the weapon proficiently. We enjoye our visit

Nice Park and Location
Level cement pads. Clean. Nice pool, social areas (although didn't get to use due to Covid-19 precautions). Right beside a Public beach. Only negative- don't give Passport America discount due to Spring Break/ Summer months.

Great Little Place On Galveston
We're from the Houston area, so not too far away, but just wanted to get away for a long weekend. The office staff was friendly, and the grounds were clean. The pool area was amazing, and the propane fire pit was a great little addition. Our spot was closer to the main road, but the noise didn't bother us at all.
**regular price was $50/night, they gave us a 10% military discount

Great Park
This was great for Easter....5 minute walk to Stewart Beach. Sites level and all utilities work good.

Try to stay closer to the ocean than the road (obvi)to have a more quiet stay. Staff is indifferent. WiFi good.

Just Ok
Nice level concrete pad, good location if you want to be in the city, but it is very noisy...especially if you are near the street entrance to Stewart beach... pickup truck with big muffler!! Front desk staff not very friendly... good WiFi, nice pool overall very clean.

Great Site No Personality
Sandpiper is a great location but as far as campgrounds go I must say we were very disappointed. The staff never looked up when we came into the lobby not helpful when asking questions. Nice pool area just to cool in March. If you want the bare basic with no personality this is the park for you. If you like camp activities keep going. Nice laundry room, great WiFi,snowy cable. Site are nice and flat. They even offer camper washing for a fee. Sandpiper has great potential.

Overall the park is pretty nice. Since it is within the city of Galveston, you should expect to have the city noise in the park.

Nice Place And Good Location.
We liked our stay here. The spots were a good size, the hookups were well done, and the place looks nice. Good pool. Great location. Very good for bicycles and walking. From here you can bike to the Strand, bike the Seawall, or take a LYFT or Uber to food and drinks and back. Good campground.

Awesome!
The location can't be beat! With that you have wide spaces with plenty of distance between, beautiful landscaping with palm trees, and a great infinity pool and hot tub combination. Will be visiting again!
