Lease is up and going for that California big money. It's a sad day for Texans.

One Of The Nicer TX State Parks
Have visited many other TX State Parks and believe this one is for sure on the list of nicest I’ve been to. Stayed in the Cooks Ferry campground in site 97. I’ve got a 40’ DP and had plenty of room to park the Jeep in front of the motorhome. Much more space between sites than other state parks. Only 30 amp service so take that into account if you plan on staying here in the middle of summer and need to run 2 AC’s. Great fishing even from the bank. Water is clear enough to see the fish from the bank or from the dock. Cleaning stations are available if needed. Trails were great that can be used either hiking, biking, or on horseback. Would definitely stay again and will plan to return soon.

Great Park-new to Us!
Great location, mostly very large campsites, some wooded and some not as much. Many had peeka boo views of the lake. Swing sets and volleyball pit were fun for the kids. Lots of walkable trails-swim area is opposite way of the campsites so driving is a must-no way to bike or walk to it really. Day use bathrooms were pretty yucky-swim area has pebbles and sand-water is pretty clear.Bathhouses in camping area are in okay condition- water was hot and plentiful. Did not fish but fishing facilities looked good. Site 110 is big with 2 close areas for waking to lake access. It has lots of trees and the site pad is pretty level.

Nice Park In The Country
This park is about 150 miles north of Houston and 80 miles south of Dallas about 8 or ten miles off of IH-45. Like most Texas state parks there is 30 amp service and water with a dump station on the way in and out. This park has way many more pull through sites than most others. I have a small ultra light bumper pull so I asked for a back in. Cell reception is spotty and small town is 13 miles away. Local grocery is fairly expensive, but the meat counter has the best in Angus steaks!

Nice Park
One section of the RV parking is renovated and is quite nice with newly paved roads and sites. Other section is more rustic but still nice. Lake is nice for boating, fishing, canoeing and Kayaking.
