Good and bad
This is in the middle of nature so you do see a lot of wildlife, but with it comes swarms of mosquitos. I suspect the mgt does (nearly?) nothing to control them.
I did not feel safe here. Many campers are extreme right wingers with big political banners and NRA flags. The rules forbid guns, but I truly doubt this crowd adheres to the rules. Unless you are genetically "snow white" you would not feel comfortable here.
It's a shame that some camper exploit their 1st amdmt rights to intimidate others while on vacation. Leave your politics at home people!

Beautiful And Peaceful
Hurrican Laura made us evacuate so we went toTexana RV Park and Campground in Edna, Tx.
The park is absolutely beautiful and there are deer everywhere. Full hook ups and so reasonable. It used to be a state park. The views were amazing from site #125. We’ll definitely be back for a longer more relaxing trip.

Beautiful Former State Park
Spent a beautiful Memorial Day weekend at Lake Texana. It’s partner property across the road is also accessible as a guest and has kid friendly activities like putt-putt. Texana has lovely and well maintained walking trails. Bathrooms were older but cleaned daily. We booked late, so only had a site with water and electricity, not sewer. So showered daily in the public bathrooms. Hot water was a little lacking, but it was a warm weekend so didn’t mind. Stayed in site #77 which was fine for our short 20 ft trailer, but would not work for a bigger rig. Lots of wildlife! We saw armadillo, deer, turkey, owls, cardinals, turtles, squirrels, and one small snake on the trail. We had a lovely lake view, tons of shade and a nice breeze to keep it cool. We will definitely be back!

A Great Find
This park is a great place to spend a night or a week. The sites are spacious and clean. Our site, 117, Was pretty level and easy to back in to. The WiFi was nothing to get excited about but we made do. We did not use the showers or rest rooms so can’t comment. Plenty of hiking trails and water activities around. The park is gated after 5 for security. Very quiet and peaceful
