Falling Star

Six years ago when we first came here this was a Five Star Premier Park. Four years ago they got a new manager and things have quickly gone from Five Star to Three. It all comes down to leadership or lack there of. Questionable practices, lack of communication, misinformation, unkept commitments, and failure to follow through on basic park improvements are just the tip of the iceberg. Fortunately the park has a large number of residents, who take it upon themselves to volunteer and make things happen in spite on the obstacles management or corporate sometimes places in their way. VPR is still a great place to live and vacation. The maintenance department does an admirable job keeping the facility looking good and operating well. The adjoining Hotel and Restaurant have slipped below Three Star to Two or sometimes One. They are both in desperate need of updating and food quality has really gone downhill this year. Leaders come and go. Residents are impatiently waiting for this one to go.

The Parks wifi and cable TV goes down hill yearly. Their prices go up yearly. The park is asking for a 750 dollar deposit for a return customer but a new customer can reserve with a 200 dollar deposit. ???

Not the park it used to be

I'm told this used to be a Premier Park the only thing about it premier now is their price. Very little communication within the park to let you know about amenities and activities Cable worked intermittently if at all and their Internet was horrible until about the last three weeks we were there. Never got an electric bill because they told us their email wasn't working Will not return to this park Will not return to this park My lot was half the size of the others around me but I still had to pay the full price

Our Favorite Park

We have stayed at Victoria Palms a week at a time for 25 years. This is our favor Ite place to be in south Texas. Great pool and recreational facilites. Staff is helpful and friendly. It is a little pricey. But not out of line with other parks in the area.
