Worth The Trip!

Great campground! Very nice facilities. Our site was level. It was a bit swampy behind us. Beautiful view of the lake. Good phone reception. Will definitely be back!

Dkimo is definitely from the city. What a panzi. This place has the best nature has to offer.

Swamp, Snakes, Skeeters

There had been reports of flooding. Tho we called several times to make sure all was well, and we were assured that we would receive a call back if there was a problem, we arrived to find our site and the neighboring site reserved by our friends (who had also called with concerns) completely under water. Fish and snakes were visible where our sites should have been. Although it was normal business hours, there was no one in the office or at the Host site, nor did anyone answer the phone. We chose a random dry site, and left with our friends when they arrived. Thankfully, we received a full refund, even for the 2 nites we stayed. I gave them one star because they have a nice interpretive center and raptor center down the road. (Meeman-Shelby was a wonderful alternative).

Nice Campground!! Saw Pelicans!!

Paved level sites. Clean restrooms with plenty hot water. Nice views of lake from several sites. Not mane full hookups.

Nice park. Sites were nice and the bathrooms were clean. Not much to do. Trails were not marked and not much to see. No where to swim. Friendly park staff.

Doing major upgrades, makes it much nicer.
