First time at Lillydale Campground. It's a beautiful campground with most sites being level and not too close together. Kids seem to love it here. There's a nice beach here. Great camp hosts. Two areas for primitive camping - one near the entrance and one on the "island". It's not really an island - it's a pinnensula with a walkway to haul your gear on carts. The drive in is a winding and hilly road, but if you take your time it's all good. Bath houses/restrooms are a tad bit dated but clean. Free washer and dryer for campers - which is nice for extended stays. Willow Grove Marina is about the closest place for forgotten/needed supplies. Sunset Dock has a fantastic restaurant that is about 30 minutes away. We drove our diesel truck. Had 1/2 a tank but wanted to fill up (just in case) - went to Triple D's (about 20 minutes away) to fill up. It was a bit over $100.00 for 1/2 a tank. My suggestion is - fill up in Celina or closest town outside of Dale Hollow Lake. This is a must stay.

Love
Great campground right on the lake. Grab a water site and tie your boat up.

Try The Island
I love this place, we brought our boat and a tent, stayed on the island that is tent only camping, we did that because the campground was booked solid on the holiday weekend, one of the best features is that you can park your boat right at your campsite, the boat ramp is nice also.

First Camping Trip
At 28 years old I'd never been camping before. This was me and my family's first camping experience. My 3 daughters loved the lake!
