Nice overnight spot. Far enough away from the highway that the road noise was minimal. We were here after the water was shut off, which didn't matter since we are self contained. There is a nice little hiking trail to stretch your legs on after a long day on the road.
My only reason for less then five stars is the lack of ability to pay on site. We had no cellphone coverage there.

Nice
It’s a nice little park. Clean. Well taken care of. Host very friendly. But the fees are kinda ridiculous. The campsite is $26 + 7.70 non reside fee+ tax + 8.00 day use fee.
$ 43.00 is Pricey for a State Park.

This is a great campground and well maintained. Plenty of space in a wooded area. Where it can be improved us information. You need to take on water before going up to the sites. There is water available. However one of the outlets is without a threaded bib. Also if you're staying in the lower level don't follow the one way signs. If you do your door will be facing the road. The SD fees are confusing. You need to buy day passes plus your camping fees. Why not have them in the camping fees. This still is far and away superior to any KOA or private RV site.

Nice Campground
Very nicely situated in the woods on a pleasant hill, surrounded by cornfields. Used it for an overnight stay on the way home to Virginia. Very pleasant surprise. Great for hiking short trails and sitting by the campfire.

I have been going to this park for over 20 years. It's quite beautiful. Excellent trails. A pretty creek. There is a horse camp here and riding trails. Usually lots of turkey and deer.
