Lots of BUGS After Dark 🦟.
We Got to campground well after dark . Lots of tenters and a few RVs . Leave your lights out when setting up . The bugs will swarm the lights .

Four stars because of road in...
Beautiful setting with Buffalo and Prairie Dogs right in the camp circle! No power, no water but vault toilets. No generator. Our 24' Class A made it by going 5 mph down 8 mile road due to wash board. Hears coyotes in the night...got very full by sundown with mostly tents. Was hoping for less people but everyone was quiet. Did I mention it was free w/ park entrance fee!

Beautiful Camping
Free campground, once you pay your park entrance. Basic pit toilets, benches, gravel road for about 8 miles. Class A RV was slow getting there but no problems. Beautiful wildlife all around you! So many buffalos! No generators but of course you have the people who have tp use them...

We got here around 5:30 pm on a Saturday in September. The place looked full at first but since there are no assigned spots, all we needed to do was find an open spot for our camper trailer outside the circle along the road. Tents share the inside of the circle with the prairie dogs. There is plenty of room. It is quiet and toilets are clean. Road from Wall is partially paved, partially gravel. We saw a whole herd of bison driving in. Coyotes cry in the night. It is beautiful.

Free overnight camping. Very quiet the night we stayed. Only vault toilet. Beautiful landscape. Both tents and trailers welcome. Very rough gravel road to get to campground though....washboard road. Went about 10-15 mph all 12 miles to the site. Lots of bison, even crossing the road! Woke up at 1am and listened to the howling of coyotes. We liked, would return. Only 4 star because the road was terrible. Almost turned around before we got to the campground.

Gorgeous, Hilly Plains
It's a good 20 min drive off the freeway (no cell coverage, dirt roads) but once you're there it's a gorgeous, quiet campground in a valley. Watch for coyotes and bison. Free overnight camping and pit toilet, picnic tables.
