Great Experience

We stayed here few times in the last few years. They improved every time. Clean bathrooms, leveled sites. The staff are very young and are very polite. I think a good experience is guaranteed at this park.

Super State Park

Lake Wateree is a special spot. The park is on an island, with a scenic causeway for access. There is a small but complete store, ample parking, picnicing areas, a nice new playground, boat ramp, dock and fuel for day use. The campground has paved roads and nice level sites, generously sized, with many being waterfront. Each has a table and firering, power and water. Bathrooms are clean, spacious and nicely updated, with showers, tile floors and walls, soap and hand driers, plus lighted concrete sidewalk access. There is a dump site and refuse containers. Deer roam the island, waterfowl are abundant, and an easy to navigate nature trail takes you through the open forest. The lake offers fishing and boating galore. The remote location keeps it quiet and campsites are shaded. Pack in what you need, as shopping and dining choices are limited without a 20+ minute drive. Great spot for a getaway, and the island location gives it a beachy feel.

Great Fishing And More

Level paved sites long enough that I didn't have to unhook. Rain and fog first full day but my first night as an RVer was fantastic. I stayed here two nights in my 35' travel trailer.

Beautiful Campground

We are locals and tend to camp some other local campgrounds , Wateree May have moved up as our favorite , site was roomy , plenty of room for our camper and tow vehicle , staff was very friendly each time we encountered someone .

Very Quiet

Paved and long sites. Very nice stay. It rained the whole time and we still loved it!!!

Great little park for our short visit. Will definitely be going back in the near future. Nice level campsites with enough space between neighbors to remain comfy. Great hiking/nature trail. Make sure you bring your groceries and drinks as the nearest store is pricey to say the least.
