We stopped here on our way to Charleston from Covington. The GPS was a bit off, we followed the signs for the campground, which is inside the main entrance to the state park. The ranger, Aaron, was super nice and helpful. I booked a site that was too small but we were able to switch. All sites are packed dirt. We didn’t have any issues leveling. One way in, one way out. Firewood is available at the camp office. We have a toad, and were able to unhitch at the office before proceeding to the campsite. There is a camp host. The campground is very beautiful, we would stay again!

Great Canoe Trip
This park needs to have its, office, day use areas, shower houses and roads updated. The river and canoe trips make this a good park.
