Pleasantly Surprised
We were very surprised when we arrived. We read the reviews about this park and thought that it may be a small dumpy place, but decided to give it a chance. We are glad we did. We initially had booked for 2 days and decided to add 1 extra day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We love it so much that we have booked 5 days for Thanksgiving. If you wanna come and camp, you need to before December 1st as they are going to close for 6 months for renovations.

Nice
Enjoyed our stay, lot 35 I'll give an A+. Didn't use the sites restroom, but the area seemed very cleaned.Price was great for 2.5 days. Only water and electric hook up. Willing to return after Christmas. The gate at the entrance only open during business hours so call if you're gonna be late to get the code.

Nice state park. Campsites not so much. Sandy. The bath house had 1 toilet,1 urinal and one shower stall and none were very clean.

Older Campground
Developed by CCC in 1940. Not really big rig compatible. Great for car campers and small to medium travel trailers.
Roads narrow, sandy and potholed. Rolling terrain makes levelling an issue. Trees close to narrow twisting roads require careful maneuvering.
We're 44' long and chose not to stay.

Hidden Gem
A very nice facility in Columbia. Very convenient to everything. Water and electricity at the site. Dump station at CG entrance. Nice walking trail around the lake. If you are going to arrive late, call ahead for the gate code. I look forward to staying here again.
