A Gem
This is as pretty a state park as you will find. While having the minimum in amenities, it is delightful just the same. And, in a delightful area for many activities.

Large and Rustic
A group of friends have been camping here each summer for the past five or six years. The sites are large and allow for decent privacy from other campers. There are no utilities on site, primitive style, but perfect for both tent camping and self-contained units. The bathhouses have been less than desirable. However, with RI implementing strict cleaning policies for Covid-19, this year they were very clean and well maintained.
This is a large campground, 700 sites. Usually this place is not at capacity when we stay. This year was very busy even with reduced capacity there were more vehicles and people compared to any other year.
As with most state parks they're a bit loose with rules as long as everyone is being respectful. We have fires past 11pm and haven't been asked to extinguish, which is more common at a private campground.
There is a well equipped camp store within the park. Offering many of the basics like wood, ice, coffee, snacks, etc.

Overall Badass
i love this park. 24 hour ranger station, that accepts cards. 20 bucks for primitive site. no electric in park which makes it amazingly quiet in the early season. overall great spot!!
