Peaceful And Well Kept
We happened to stay here during beautiful fall color season. The campground is clean and quiet. We enjoyed our weekend. Close to several towns and yet far enough away to escape the noise. The jets flying into Pittsburg fly over but it didn't bother us at all.

Nice But Needs Upgraded
Overall nice State Park, but the campgrounds are sure in need of upgrades. Pavement is rough and cracked, campsites need some gravel because it’s all mud. Showers are outdated and not very clean. Water is good and hot with great pressure. Only lighting in the shower we used was in the back by the showers, by the way the paint is pealing off the floors and there isn’t a shower curtain so expect your stuff to get wet unless your careful. If you like to hear and see airplanes this is the place because of the close proximity to the Pittsburgh airport. Campground host in loop F is a great guy and really takes his job seriously. A lot of great history at this park and the folks in the park office as well as the Rangers are top notch!

Quiet With Nice Lake
We stayed on week days during Aug so few campers and very quiet. Elec and Non-Elec sites only but water stations throughout park to fill your tank if needed. Our site was paved and nice. Shower House/Restroom in loop F was rough. Definitely needs updating. Staff was super friendly - we originally reserved in area E but didn't realize it was a No Pet area until we got here. We picked a different site in F (pets allowed) and checked in at Park Office next day and they were super nice about our change. So be aware, loops C and F are Pet Friendly, all others are not. Impressed they had pet waste stations throughout park. We biked entire park and it was lovely. 40min from Pittsburgh so we were able to drive in for one day and visit friends - so close enough if you need supplies. Im sure this place is very busy on the weekends

Beautiful Country
Campsite is very isolated. Quiet and tons of hiking. The lake is beautiful as well. A great hike from the campsite. Pittsburgh is about 50 minutes to an hour away. Go to the city and explore. A great city.

Stayed one night in a backcountry lean-to. Very quiet woods. Minimal airplane noise considering proximity to airport. Nice spot.

Raccoon creek
Quiet, lots of shade. Camp sites are pretty small (narrow) and not many are level. Otherwise a nice out of the way place
