Open and roomy sites on grass. You must have a reservation if you plan to arrive after office hours. They need to give you a code for the gate.
They ask for a lot of information. They want to know specifics about your vehicle(s), the age of the people in your group, and the status of your dog's inoculations. There's even a short contract. It's all a bit weird, but okay.
There is a curfew for children.
It's a big camp with lots of features. Event tent, greenhouse, fishing, etc.
If you are going to see the stars at Cherry Springs, this is a great place to set up a home base. Cherry Springs is 30 minutes away. The stars are good here at Crooked Creek, but there's still lots of light pollution from the little towns and even the camp itself.
Overall, it is very accommodating. Prices vary. $45 plus tax for W/E.
