Gem In the Forest
Stayed at site 51. Nice clean quiet state park. How and Hostess were great folks and do a great job. Definitely a return trip!

Loved Our Stay
It’s a beautiful campgrounds with lots of treed sites. The roads had just been all paved. We had a site with electric which suited our needs and the bathrooms were clean. The area is beautiful. We have simple cargo van we converted to a camper. The lot was nice and level.

Return To State Parks
Haven't been to a state park in years. Had a great time meeting up with family! Sites are large, mostly wooded, and electric on site. I forgot to fill fresh water tank before parking but there was spigot very close and just filled my water jug and dumped in the tank. The dump station was easy, and no wait at 10AM on Sunday. Verizon cell service good enough for call or text, nothing else. No TV. Lots of hiking, sights, and float the very safe Clarion river. Will definitely return here and other state parks now that we gave it a try again! Very quiet, no alcohol.

Some Good Stuff Some Bad Stuff
You certainly cannot beat the scenery, hiking trails and all-around God's Amazing Creation in this area! So much to do in the surrounding areas, down on the river and in the forest. That being said this Campground gets mixed reviews from us. A beautiful location with lots of sites to choose from but only half of the sites are allowed to have pets. Very few full hookup sites especially since we have a dog and we can only use the front half of the campground because the back half is all off-limits to pets. Showers and laundry facilities were operational but a little dated. Camp host were friendly for the most part. And you got to watch out for the ticks! This area is loaded with ticks which carry Lyme's disease. A hazard you'll just have to keep in mind if you wanted to come here. Will be back again but it's good to know that they're only a couple of full hookup sites and limited space for pet owners.

Retired
They now have some sites with full hookups. It is pet friendly. The pool has been closed for a couple of years. The Clarion River, about a mile from the campground has canoeing and tubes available to rent. The sites are close but space for awings and some grass between sites
