Great Shady Park

We arrived on Sunday, the store is closed, so it is the honor system. Park regulations state 14 days maximum stay, except during pheasant season when 30 days is the maximum. Most sites have power and water. A couple sites have sewer, although the rules board states that none have sewer. It is a well used park by locals, ballfield, basketball court, swings, large grassy area and huge cottonwood trees. A concrete building houses bathrooms and showers. We were the only RV here, there were 4 tent campers set up on the grass. A very quiet spot with lots of birdsong

Off The Beaten Track

This park has a ball field and swings for the kids. Sites are level and some have full hookups and afternoon shade. Very quiet. You pay on the honor system at the nearby store. The store is really just a small cafe with a few supplies. Before irrigation this was an oasis in the desert, and it has a long interesting history including being an important rest stop on the Oregon trail
