Autumn Respite

It was raining all weekend in Portland but on the east side of the Cascades, it only drizzled a little at night. Near the end of October (and this year's season), the campground was quiet and only about half full. The freeway is close but you soon ignore the dull roar of traffic, the train tracks are down a hill and trains are barely audible. Spacious sites, tall trees, views of the Columbia River, this is a nice place.

Beautiful spot to stay the night or camp. The host was very nice and helpful. A lot of the spots were already reserved but we got lucky and found an empty spot.

Great place to stay during a trip to California! Clean, nice view of the Columbia river. Very easy to register with the Oregon park system and easy to confirm. We will stay again on the return trip.
