Excellent Place

Some of best riding is out to the east off the Old Santiam Wagon Road. The lake was warm enough to go swimming and cool off. Try to go early in the spring for riding, other wise it can get a little dusty. And they need to fix the reservation site, because there are a lot more first come first serve sites available than what they list.

Primitive campground with beautiful alpine lake offering waterskiing and atv trails. Lakefront campsites are great for swimming, but there is a lot of dust.
