Electricity/Water Issues Resolved

Our electric shut off during our 1st night. Next morning a trailer pulled in right on top of us...6 feet away, their electric and water was out. Before the day was over, they shut off water and told us if we wanted to stay have no water or electricity. Very accommodating about moving us BUT our 27' x 13.5' would go under trees to other location. We werent keen on tearing our roof. The last location they offered was up a hill and not close to showers or toilets. Beautiful site, just didnt work for us. Smaller, bumper hitch trailers would be better here. Repairmen were on site until 9pm and got our electric issues resolved, water restored...thank you so much!!

Tiny Camping

We pulled in after dark on Thursday. Sgt Ramos helped us find our way in the dark to a nice spot. But we decided to move the next morning to a campsite with a table on the same side as our camper door. Sgt Ramos told us the next day the area us to be tent only camping which explains why the tables built in the 1960's are on the wrong side. No big deal. Friday we went and looked at the springs and the pool area. There is no swimming in the lake. We also did a little fishing. Since it was the last days in September the camp store was closed we went to town to get (worms) bait. We caught about 10 perch before they quit bitting. We also did the hike to the dam. Saturday morning we took the guided hike which we enjoyed. The ranger comes around the campsites very often it seemed safe and the ranger or golf cart workers (Gale) are very friendly and helpful. The bathroom and showers were very clean!! We had a great time. The only inconvenience was the store being closed.
