Very Good Campground
Stayed here one night on our way home, but would stay longer. Got a pull thru that was really two back-ins because they weren’t crowded, I guess. So we had a huge site that was absolutely level. The grass was nice and green and there was a patio with picnic tables to choose from at opposite ends. Not a lot of shade since the trees are still short.
Took the shuttle to the casino for dinner and that place was a zoo on Saturday night. Lots of people and the section we were in allowed smoking (if that bothers you). Shuttle actually brought us back to our site which was really convenient.
They give you a key card for the bathroom and it’s clean. The showers are large and have good pressure. Best of all the water was soft! Felt like home!
I liked the park very much. It was close to the casino, but also far enough away that if you aren’t interested it wasn’t right on top of you.

Quaint And Doable
This was a one night stop but I would have stayed more. Older but well manicured and cared for. The longer term residents are thoughtful and aren't piggy. The laundry and showers are dated but clean and tidy.
There are some sites that are only electric and water but there are many that are full hook-ups. Our particular site was no sewer and 30 amp. It was more towards the entry of the park.
Note: Thackerville doesn't have a lot going for it but it's a great place for winding down after a long day of travel. Enjoy.

Stayed here over the weekend to attend Germanfest. Was very happy with how clean the bathrooms and showers were. Laundry was clean and fairly priced. Didn't get to take advantage of the other amenities. Spot was large and mostly level and included a picnic table, though not all do.

Stayed here for 6 weeks back in fall. Owner is friendly and helpful. Many long-term residents. Shopping is down to Gainesville, TX. Winstar Casino is across the hwy. Until we came here we had never experienced ground softened water...go easy on the soap or you will slide out of the shower and can't hang onto a dish. Fabric softener is NOT needed either. NO kidding! On site is a rec room with a large screen tv, books, puzzles, etc., shower house, laundry, (These areas get locked at 10 p.m. promptly, open at 7 a.m.), pet area, fresh water pool, propane? This area of the country is extremely sandy and has tons of burrs for your shoes and your pet's poor feet and your carpets. Weekly $155, Monthly $415
