Mid April en route to warmer temps but no luck so far. Three campers in three loops. Beautiful lake. Fossils in the limestone were plentiful for geological study. Friendly host. Some trash around the grounds but overall well maintained.

Nice Place.
Good to have a Oasis to stay. We are just passing through, but decided to stay 3 days. It is pre-season and only one loop (1-40) was open first come first serve. Paved sites. Fairly level. All back in. We are unused to spring vegetation in this area of country. Kaw lake is beautiful.

Nice Campground
Isolated, but well maintained location. The campground is small with nicely manicured campsites. Shade trees abound. Although There are no full hookups within the camping loops of the park, there are two located near the entrance. Many campsites include water and electricity. There is a dump station. A shower house is available in the centrally located comfort station.
