4 Day Vacay
The road into the campground is quite steep and winding, but the campground is beautiful, and very well kept. It’s so green and quiet. We will definitely stay here again.

Muddy Mess
When we arrived there was mud everywhere. Could not get into our site because of the mud. All the other site we looked at were also muddy and soft. We left. Asked for a refund was told they would look into it. Guess what no refund!

Green & Friendly
Well maintained lawn. RV sites are level. Restrooms are old and not always cleanest. Staff is friendly. Pool hours were sporadic and changed often. (Lots of flies). Will definitely stay here again. Was peaceful and a pleasure to stay here.

It doesn't look like much when you are driving up to it, but once you get down in the canyon, it's beautiful! We got there late and the host was very helpful and kind. The bathhouse wasn't the best, and you have to pay with quarters to use the showers. We were the only ones in the tent area and it was peaceful and secluded.

Great Place
It's not a state park any longer but the new owners are great, they are very helpful. Beautiful place and we are here in March with no signs of spring. No internet or tv, your in a deep valley. Owner is looking into wifi. The entrance has a sharp curve but I took it with no problem 35` trailer. Saw a RV big as a grayhound bus here as well it obviously made it through the curves. Quiet secluded yet town is less than a mile, I-40 5 miles. Lots of museum's in the area. Trails are rideable with a bike.

We are currently staying here for the night and this place is awesome. Had a nice conversation with the gentleman that has rescued this place from closure by the state. Its beautiful and we will be back.

Awesome
Really nice campground. Be aware though there are only (4) 50 amp sites available. The rest are 30. Definitely don't try coming down here in a big couch. Very tight curves.

Tiny Camper
This is such a beautiful place. We will be back. We did a lot of hiking and a little fishing for perch below the pond dam. The pond was covered in moss so we couldn't fish there. The pool was closed for winter. Since it was October. We didn't have a reservation but if you want by the playground I suggest you make a reservation in California camp area. All the camping spot are pretty.

Nice
I stayed in the first tent camping area as these sites were closest to the bathrooms. Felt quiet and comfortable. Would stay again.

Narrow switchback at the entrance but plenty of room after that for a truck and 33' trailer! Nice hiking trails, quiet, and nice grass camping spots. Would camp again as it's close to I40.
