My wife and I have visited Buckhorn twice. First time we we had a site that was very unlevel, we were unprepared (not enough leveling blocks) but the site was beautiful, the bathhouse and showers were clean and well kept as the rest of the park. The second time we were well prepared (lots of leveling blocks) but the site was level enough that blocks weren't needed. Most all sites are well shaded great for Hot Oklahoma Summers. ?

Beautiful area, Clean showers

Clean showers, beautiful area. Buckhorn Loop C spot 59 is not ok for a 26ft travel trailer (very sloped). It'd maybe be ok for a 16 footer and smaller. Luckily I did a recon before we went. I had to make 6" platforms for my tt to sit on just to level out with the tongue buried on the ground. Did not have full hook-ups, but we knew that before we went. The dump site is kind of hard to find. Had the host give directions to get us there (before the boat launch). Let me reiterate though that the area is beautiful and the rv site was very inexpensive. Given the chance, I'll likely come back to this area, but try and not get spot C59..

Great little place not far from the metro. Scenic and peaceful, with very nice camp sites and clean bathrooms.
