Park is Beautiful. Air Quality Horrid
The campground is beautiful! Large, private, paved sites with electric pedestals, dump station with water fill, laundry, miles of beautiful paths and bike trails, beach, nature center with boardwalks through the marsh, bathhouses with free hot showers. The only problem is there are dozens of refineries and chemical plants nearby. Of the 6 days we were there, 2 were filled with such horrendous stench that even wearing a mask did not prevent our noses from burning, headaches, and sore throats. The area is so unbelievablely polluted that we didn't feel safe to get in Lake Erie. So sad and disappointing, especially after spending the summer on Lake Superior. Ohio needs to clean up and hold these million dollar corporations responsible for ruining this area.

Motorcycle Trip
Clean sites with clean restrooms but was quite the hike to get there, fire wood was wet and took along time to get checked in and thru the line

Incredible Park And Campground!
They let us put our bird feeders up and we saw Tons of birds right from our campsite. The Park is awesome with so much to do. The sites are level and large, with lots of space and privacy between sites. The campground Staffel were A#1. I Highly recommend this place.

Great Campground Near A Refinery
Beautiful campground and beach on Lake Erie! Sites are almost all private... very well groomed and maintained with shrubs, brush and trees seperating practically every site. Lots of space between sites, too. I don't know who decided that covid 19 should be the reason to close all of the full hook-up sites but that was a mistake in my opinion. Now we all have to congegate at the dump station and share germs...I'm so glad the park manager is smarter than the rest of us and is protecting us from ourselves because heaven knows we can't figure out how to sanatize a water spicket and keep from getting ourselves sick in the summer time when the flu disappears and covid is becoming nonexistent. Yay.
I digress.
Other than this great campground there is nothing here except for the oil refinery and coal burning power plant 4 miles away. This campground would be amazing if it had other local attractions like a national forest, amusement park, restaurants... something other than a refinery.

Wonderful campground! Nice big sites. It has a long paved bike trail, too, which worked out well for my kids. Gorgeous scenery. The park has a lodge with two pools (one indoor and one outdoor) and an indoor splash pad that campers can use for an additional fee. The only thing we were disappointed about was the lack of a playground.

Easy Overnight
Stayed this past weekend, Site 155. Check-in process quick, water/dump station upon entry, all sites clearly marked and easily accessed with angled back-in. Camp store fully stocked with reasonable pricing. Saturday night camp-wide ice cream social was fun for all ages. Lots of space and privacy between camp sites, very dog-friendly. Beach was marked for no pets and that was NOT followed by many so perhaps a dedicated area for the four-legged family members would be great!

Great Campground
We love staying here. Only complaint no full hookups. Not a big deal to us but know it would be for a lot of people. Love the beach area.

I lived in Ohio several years ago, live in Phoenix now, am back here visiting family. It is in deed a nice park. Only wish they had water and sewer at each RV camp site. Guess I’m spoiled.

Sites With Privacy
I love that most the sites are surrounded by trees. Definitely the nicest and most peaceful state park!

Lush Park
This is one of the nicest state parks we"ve ever visited. The sites are large and paved lots of space between them easy drive or bike ride to Lake Erie plus lots of other little ponds around the park. Really a lovely place to stay. Electric hookups plus easy access to water and dump station. I must stay if you're in the Toledo area
