Mixed Feelings

The wine section, pool, deck and basically the front part of the park was nice. The sites are basically a mud / dirt space with a million fire ants everywhere. Came in on day 1 from rain storm and my new RV was covered in mud and dirt from site. Days 2 and 3 were sunny and hot and the ground was dry on top but still wet under top layer and fire ants everywhere. If there wasn't fire ants there were Flys. It was pretty nasty which is sad because just proper gravel and a pest control would make this place awesome. Until then it is 2 stars at best

Great For Families

We stayed here over July 4 and absolutely loved it. We have two small boys. It was unfortunate the playground was closed due to government orders, but we enjoyed the pool, pond, and vineyard. It looked like it could get pretty messy if it rains there. The owners are super nice and even showed us to our site. We felt it safe to let our boys play and saw lots of kids riding bikes.

Quiet Stay

Our family just finished a 3 night stay. The campsite is serene and well maintained. The rv spots are large and private with a picnic bench, fire ring, and full hook up. The laundry room was clean and the campground has a swimming pool. The owners go above and beyond to make campers feel welcome. 30 minutes from Myrtle Beach. 1 hour from Bald Head island and Oak Island.

Pleasant Surprises! Nice Little CG!

Being that this CG is located in a vineyard makes it special. They offer wine tastings in the office with a nice choice of muscadine wines. Social activities included an art class. Small catch and release pond. Nice pool. Level sites. Shaded sites, most are good size. Clean facilities. Owners are nice and helpful. Neat old IGA a couple miles away for groceries. A really nice VG.

Unexpected Surprise.

We were looking for a last minute spot for a night as we were passing through Myrtle Beach. Due to the holiday weekend, we had a difficult time finding a spot on the beach so we searched inland. What a delightful surprise to land at Carrolwoods! The family run campground met us with overwhelming hospitality, making us feel right at home. Their three children immediately welcomed our children into play and commenced into wilderness exploration. The family property is quiet and beautiful with trails for hiking and biking. RV parks promise wifi, but this is the first place that provided excellent wifi that never paused. The family vineyard right on the property has a delightful little wine and gift shop with a cosy deck for enjoying a glass of wine. We ended up staying a second night, over New Years, because of the wonderful community, sharing a sweet New Year's Eve celebration with new friends. What we thought was going to be a quick overnight turned into a wonderful experience!
