Our Home Away From Nome

Sycamore is only 17 miles from our home so it is a nice place to get away when we need a break. The staff is wonderful and the sites are nice once you get the hang of picking the right ones. About 1/3 of the park has full hookup with the other 2/3 being water and electric only. They have recently installed cell boosters and WiFi almost park wide but they charge you for it. Members should have it included in their membership. Most people here are wonderful and only a few bad apples slip through the cracks. They do enforce the rules though so find a staff member if you need assistance with an unruly camper. My wife and I enjoy it for what it is and continue to come back 5-6 times a year at least.

OK Campground

This campground has some pros and cons. Pro-Pool/minigolf/playground/arcade/on site store/ bathrooms and shower are private and air conditioned. Cons-only one bathhouse and it is really far from almost all sites/portapotties are everywhere and it makes the place smell horrible and attracts a ton of flies/ very few sites have shade/ there was litter on several sites including ours upon arrival/advertises WIFI but staff informed us that its no longer available

We are members of Sycamore Lodge. We do enjoy camping there. Nice people and staff, beautiful lake and usually easy to book a spot. However, they need more full hook up sites and they could update their amenities. Overall, it's very relaxing and we enjoy our time there.

WiFi is available at all times. However you must go to the lodge or the game room or the hen house. That is a minor inconvenience!!!! Love being here.

WI FI IS ADVERTISED BUT IS AVAILABLE ONLY 1% OF THE TIME. SUGGEST THAT AN UPGRADE TO WI FI EXTENDERS THROUGHOUT THE PARK BE ADDED.
