Ok For A Night In Section B
We are in a 40 ft 5th Wheel. We were in section B, site 16. No res, called ahead same day, 4 hours out. Easy in /out access from the interstate. Section B, more like a parking lot than campground, open no trees relatively level, still need some leveling blocks, all gravel. By the water (fishing), couple little piers. All back ins, close to each other. Sections A & C more wooded, more "campy" and way more unlevel. The hook ups were located all the way to the back of the site on the passenger side, which was a good bit away from our hook ups, we didn't have a sewer hose extension, so we used water and electric only. Big tanks, so no worry. No fire ring, no tables. Cable for TV also didn't reach. Did not use bathhouse or pool, Section B also has a little swing set, a good size pavilion with picnic tables, and a couple of benches by the water. Good for an over night in section B. Good for big rigs.

Great views of the lake!
Great place to stay! We only stopped for the night but enjoyed the awesome view of the lake. The campground also has a gate they close at 8:00 which made us feel a little safer. The online booking is easy but you do have to make sure you are there by 7:30 for check in. Although close to town it doesn't feel that way, we will be back when coming through.

Quite A Disappointment
1. When I called initially the person who answered was kurt with his answers.
2. Sights are not level
3. Bathhouse is old and only cleaned by someone doing just enough to get by with saying they straighten it up.
4. Right by the highway so it’s not quiet at all.
5. The park doesn’t offer discounts to anyone. Which means they don’t recognize
A. Senior citizens
B. Military nor veterans
C. Good Sam or any other RV memberships
Park is not Handicap friendly.
Would have been just as satisfied to stays a roadside rest area.

Nice Clean Campground
We’ve been very pleased with what a beautiful state North Carolina is. Oak Hollow hasn’t let us down, nice sites and friendly staff. Pool was kept clean as well.
We’d stay here again.

Our Weekend!
First and foremost we would like to say this will now be our go to weekend getaway. Like everywhere you go, you can nit-pick about something. So here you go....the pool is great, the bathrooms were clean, the sites a bit uneven, no fire rings (bring your own), one water outlet for two sites (bring a splitter), the sites are not very wide but the Park Ranger Thomas was AWESOME!!! Just wish the guys who drove around on golf carts were nicer. So you ask why would I go back....the views were amazing and it was just easy. If you want a clean campground with no BS except if your playing cornhole in the road this is your place. We will definitely be going back.

Loved it here. We stayed for a week and it was very restful, and quiet. Great staff! You wouldn’t know you were so close to the city. The acorns dropping on the roof were a little annoying at times! LOL Loved the lake!

Wonderful Place To Stop
Quiet, off season. Sites are well spaced apart. Section A17, paved, but most sites are quite slanted, had to use blocks phenomenal water pressure. Lovely lake, many activities for families, well managed, clean pool. City property. Aesthetically pleasing.
Only back-ins, no pull-throughs meaning you block the road when you un/ hook your car. No reservations taken, you just wing it and call them the day you plan to arrive, a little nerve-wracking, but it works. Large park, apparently only gets full during bi-annual furniture sales.

Clean
Beautiful park, clean, friendly. HOWEVER, only B and D sites are level and they are large gravel parking lots. A and C are in lovely wooded areas but few, if any sites are level. All sites share water, two sites per spigot, so you will need a water splitter for the spigot. Additionally all utilities are at the rear end of the site and some electric outlets are 15-20 ft away. You will need to be prepared with extra water hose and possibly electric extension cords. Truly a shame this park didn't have better planning as it is beautiful, near the lake and near town.
