Delightfully Rustic
Previous reviews pretty much tell the story. Nothing fancy or pretentious here, but everything is clean and well maintained. James, the owner, will be happy to bend your ear with lots of stories. Andy, the camp host, was super helpful when our rig experienced electrical issues. And the Sunday morning breakfast of cheese biscuits and smoked sausages brought to your campsite by James - you just don’t get that at KOA.

Great Little Campground!
Just stayed here this past weekend while visiting the New Bern area. The reviews here are still accurate. It is quiet and peaceful. The owner is very friendly and did provide breakfast Sunday morning... amazing! The bathhouse is small, but clean, and they have plans for a bigger/nicer one soon. The site we were on was huge! Will definitely stay here again!

Great Little Campground
Didn’t know what to expect cause I’d never heard of the place. Very pleasantly surprised. The owners take a lot of pride in the campground as it is well cared for. Large sites. Free firewood. Sunday morning breakfast. Rates are super reasonable. I’ll definitely visit again.

Quiet. Great campground and fishing
Paid $25 (cash only) per night for 2 nights. Full hookups (50amp, water, sewer). Stayed in site 3.
We were scrambling a bit after being evacuated from a North Carolina state park because of the coronavirus closures. But we're almost glad we left because this place was nicer.
Very quiet. We only had a couple neighbors in the whole campground and rarely saw them. We spent time out by the fire. We went fishing. Great place to relax and get caught up on work.
When we arrived there wasn't an office or any formal way to checkin, but the owner had told us on the phone to park in spot 3 and then the camp host came by in his golf cart later that evening to collect payment and have us sign a paper.
They provide free firewood (super nice touch!) and restocked the next morning after we burned up several logs.
Verizon service was a little slow but doable for streaming. AT&T was good.

No Frills
No frills campground. Cash or check only. All level sites with 50 amp full hook ups with all the hook ups within 10 feet of each other and centered on site. This makes it easy to hook up. FREE FIREWOOD! James the owner is extremely friendly and will most likely make you breakfast one morning to show you his appreciation. Richard is Campground host. The place is very clean and quiet.

Great Campground
Owner is very friendly, spaces are large and well maintained. Plenty of wildlife in the area. My favorite campground to go to anytime.

First Host Of Turkey Quarter Campground
One of the best campgrounds in North Carolina. Great place just to get away from everything. We hosted there for two years loved meeting people . Most of them keep in touch with my wife and I still today.

Lovely Parklike Small Campground
We are staying at this lovely quiet and peaceful campground while we visit the area around New Bern, N.C. The owner is very friendly and helpful. When we arrived he showed us his available sites and helped us choose the best one for our little 15 ft Boler trailer. He told us where the closest convenience store was located 3 miles down the road and told us about their delicious pizza which we enjoyed the first might. He takes great pride in keeping his property beautifully groomed and clean. The only reason we give it 4 stars rather than 5 is that there is only one toilet and shower for women and one for men. Otherwise we highly recommend this campground and if ever in the area again would return.
