We r on a shady site, but we have a hurricane warning for back home in FL. We live 6 mile from the Gulf. DONT EXPECT A REFUND IF U NEED TO GO HOME. 2 months left before we go home. Had to pay up front for 4 months. It is a rip-off

Wish I Could Have Stayed Longer!

Lovely park, super friendly and helpful staff. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. We stopped by without a reservation after the office had closed, didn't expect to be able to get a spot, but a few of the staff working around the park were quick to drive up in their golf carts and help us out. Only problem is the cell reception. Verizon works fine, everything else is a dead zone.

Very nice!

Came up to get away from the heat of the piedmont. First time here and very easy to find and get to. Greeted outside by a friendly man who checked us off his list and gave us the rundown on the checkin procedure. Woman at the desk wasn’t exactly friendly but check in was easy. We were escorted to our site and the man helped with backing and made sure everything was to our liking. Very clean sites with a few long term campers scattered about but plenty of short stay sites. We have a very nice site by the pond which has a concrete pad patio with a picnic table. All sites are clean and either have a fire pit or an area surrounded by rocks where you can build a fire. Firewood is sold at the camp store. Lots of water fowl (ducks mostly but a few geese as well). Large playground for kids and pet friendly. Well worth the trip if looking for a mountain campground.

Wonderful Staff

We arrived and everyone was beyond helpful! Staff was amazing we blew a fuse a gentleman went and got a jack and squared us right up. Later we went to the store to buy correct fuse didn’t have what we needed another staff member overheard and said I might have some extra and next thing we knew he showed up at our site. Beautiful views, clean sites, cute playground. Pool unfortunately wasn’t open due to COVID but we are already planning our next trip.

Big Rig Ok

I spent a week here at Happy holidays rv park. Staff were very helpful and friendly during check in. I had requested a 90ft pull thru. I have a 43ft coach and 24 ft enclosed trailer. Upon check in i was informed that i had to disconnect from my trailer. No 90ft sites here. Nice location in Cherokee. Some pull thru sites, you aren't able to pull out of. Drive in, back out. Not a 4 star in my book. I would stay here again if I were in the area. Only because no other park can accommodate my coach.

Our Favorite Family Spot

We have come here every year for the past 22 years at least once and more if we can! The management is wonderful and the place is family friendly. We love it!

Nice Spot On The Water

Spending the rest of the week after Christmas here. Nice spot right on the creek. Winter rates were cheap. I was met at the entrance and escorted to the site. WiFi is spotty but can get cell service on Verizon. Only complaint is the sewer connection. It was very far back in the site and had to go buy a 10 foot extension to reach.

Nice Location

Very good site. Friendly staff, office closes too early. Stream behind our trailer for fishing. Not crowded at the end of September. Great proximity to the National Park, other fishing streams, stores for shopping & Gatlinburg. Nice relaxing time with my wife, dog & Army buddy and his dogs. Will most likely come back for another visit. Need to hike more of the Great Smokie Mountain National Park.

Nice Campground

It was a clean nice campground with full hookup. They let us borrow a 30 amp extension cord. Can't beat that for going the extra mile. Also accepted AARP. Free WIFI worked fine at our site.

NO SERVICE! No Cell Or Internet Connect

There is no cell service except for Verizon and it is only one to two bars most of the time. The internet service is non-existent, even thought they will tell you otherwise. The permanent residents dominate the park sites. There are camper RVs with multiple additional tents and the like on the same site. The 'by the creek' sites are not level and when it rains the TV cable channel selection drops off. For this time of year there were lot's of flies and "no see'ums" gnats that spoil outside activities. Two of the three nights, the gangs of the local kids get very loud and run around in the park and in and out of the shower/bathroom facilities between 7:30 and 9:30 PM.... The one redeeming aspect of this park is that it is relatively close to the Indian associated attractions we came to see. However if you like to fish there is a pond, and if you like to tent camp along a creek this is a very accommodating place.

One Night Only

We stayed on Thursday and paid $21.50 with passport America...very nice well kept campground...everything fine but very spotty wifi..staff very helpful and honest..would go back...
