Great Location
Dont let all the bad reviews scare you! We are a family of 5, stayed here a few nights late August and had no issues. The road to get here was fine, the entrance turn in isnt bad except for the fact it is on a blind curve. It is easier to approach from the other direction where you dont have to worry about traffic. Just drive past and there is a church with a large lot to turn around in. The spaces arent huge, but big enough. Backing in was easy. There is no shade unless you have the spots furthest back away from the view. No campfires per local ordinances. We didnt use an facilities so cant comment on those. There is a highway close but we were never bothered by any noise. Overall, it was a great place to stay and loved being so centrally located to everything in Asheville!

They cram as many people in this place as possible! You will have about 10sq feet of outdoor space, no campfires allowed, voltage was scary low (105v) and it looks like tree maintenance is lacking. We got stuck in a 30amp spot with 40' coach and we were RIGHT at the edge of the driveway while a 26' camper was in a 60' spot. I would not recommend, you would probably enjoy one of the parks a little further out of town.

Too Noisy And Ghetto
If you are staying here just to be near Asheville that is ok but if you want to experience “camping” than this is not for you. Feel like we are parked in middle of highway. No campfires allowed. Laundry is not maintained, only 1 washer worked, no change machines. Overall this place is tired and not maintained.

No Dump Here
I live nearby this campground, and needed to dump my tanks upon returning home. I called to inquire about their dump station, and if I could come by. I emphasized I wa willing to pay for this. The lady who answered told me their dump station had been ruined by someone so they no longer offer this service.
That’s fine, but I would say it’s their fault if this happened. Rather, I call BS. No problem, based on the reviews here and this experience, I will not recommend to my RVing friends.

Adequate
We stayed here a few years back and basically had a good time. The pool was open, kids were happy. The owners seem very focus on their rules and I saw notices around park fines for things you did wrong. Some of the sites have great views and laid out nicely. Others were just adequate. You would likely do better at this park with a smaller rig or van. My site was someone outside of the actual campground concrete driveway that connected to the city Road. Didn’t feel like I was camping in the park. It felt more like I was in overflow parking. Unfortunately, pool and bath house closed due tp pandemic. Highway noise was an issue but it just sort of became backround noise. If you have to stay somewhere, this is a somewhere. It appears adequately maintained but just doesn’t elicit a sense of interesting in excitement. Glad it’s here and open, but I’ll look for other options.

Tight, poorly maintained, good location
We spent two nights here at the end of a three week vacation. We arrived after the office closed and easily found the self checkin box. We stayed in one of the upper sites. Our 30' trailer took up the majority of the pad. The pad was sloped quite a bit and we maxed out our Anderson blocks getting it leveled. Most pads looked as though they had been patched and rebuilt over the years. Space was tight and we had to park sideways in front of our rig. The faucet connection was almost touching the ground and set in a muddy hole.
Some may find navigating the windy road to the campground dicey. The entrance is on a blind curve too.
Location in relation to things to do was great. Short drive into town and to the Biltmore. Directly over the interstate is a nice farmer's market. We weren't bothered by the road noise. Our site had a nice view of the mountains and a passing thunderstorm.

Convenient
Convenient little campground. Not much contact with staff. Lower pull thrus are pretty out dated, right on an active road and in a curve and seems to be sparely maintained.

Great Location And Price
Friendly staff, sites are close but the sure shoes on a hilltop so that was expected. Amazing views and took 6 mins to the entrance of Biltmore Estate. 18mins total to the house itself. For 45 a night, you can't beat this place.

Good Location
Good location to interstate if looking for a stopover. Yes there is interstate traffic noise. People were friendly. Close to farmers market and the Moose Cafe. Great food! Entry to Blue Ridge parkway is nearby. Enterprise rental car picks up and returns to the campground. Make sure to reserve your car at the enterprise office near the campground. Call the campground office for the phone number.

Great Campground
Pros - Extremely convenient to everything, clean, nice bath houses, big level pads.
Cons - close to the interstate lots of traffic noise, cable didn't work at site.

Great Little Campground
Arrived yesterday. Staff was very nice, efficient, had us in and out in probably 3 minutes. They were extremely helpful. Our back in site (7) was ample, plenty of room. Was able to back in even with other vehicles parked nearby. Concrete pad pretty close to level. So much so that we didn't bother with levellers. 50/30 looks well maintained and had appropriate breakers for both. Water and sewer and clean and easily accessible. Major road behind the site giving a good bit of road noise during the day, but didn't really bother us. Just know it's going to be there. Didn't affect sleep at all, but we sleep with white noise machine. Hitting the pool today and going to Uber to the awesome breweries in downtown Asheville. It's gonna be a great weekend!

Nice Park
Stayed here 4 day while daughter was in surgery at local hospital. Nice clean well managed park with ample room for my 40' TT. Things are a bit old here but great shape. Nice office staff...no issues. Good value and good location to Asheville. I don't understand the people here that say it's small and tight. Most campgrounds fit that to some degree. I will come back here.

Great Location
We stayed two nights. Easy on and off highway, about 12minutes downtown, 15mins to Biltmore estate and 6mins away from Biscuit Head- great breakfast. We rented a car from Enterprise and roamed the mountains. Out dated RV Park, but again can’t beat location. Easy check in. Pull through sites could be wider.

Close To Everything
Stayed 4 nights last November 2017 while visiting the Biltmore. Only 15 minute drive to downtown Asheville and easy on/off the freeway. Parked on the upper level, back in spot that did slop towards the front of the coach. View was great and staff was helpful. Oils stay again for sure.

We are new RVers, and this was one our first experiences. Bear Creek was a nice park, but the downhill space was difficult to negotiate. Very poor shower facilities, but nice staff.

Staff is very friendly and accomidating.
Lower pull throughs are on the older side but it suited us for a one night stay. Road noise at night was minimal though sleeping in was difficult.
We would stay again but in the upper sites.

Bear Creek RV Park
Stayed one night on the way back from the races in VA. Due to high winds , storms decided to stay another night. Staff was able to let us stay over and let us keep our spot. Excellent service from staff and very close to everything in Asheville. Would recommend making a reservation in advance.

Rates were $45 per night with good sam discount. Sites were very tight and up a hill. Lower sites looks like they had more room. Very close to Asheville so good location. Small pool and a clubhouse (we didn't use). Weak wifi and cable tv, ok campground but definitely tight campsites.

Depends On Which Site You Get...
Older park. Upper row overlooking other sites is tight. Lower area has more room with back in sites. Additional sites down along the road. Nice people, clean, good water pressure and TV reception. Good home base when visiting Asheville. Can hear Interstate highway noise when outside. Nothing really outstanding, but still a nice CG.

Great Place!
We stayed here in our class A with tow car in the pull thru section for 7 days and had a great experience. There isn't much of a view and the park is nestled between expressways, but it is clean, has a nice, mown area for walking the dogs and is close to everything. And the price is very reasonable in the height of leaf season. We would come back.

Over Rated
Discription and rating on this campground is misleading. You may catch a glimpse of the Biltmore as you approach this campgroun but that is all. The sites are small. We hardly had room to park a car and could not walk around our coach without getting into the grass or mud. Would not go back. Mama Gerties is much nicer.

Ok, campground, pool closes when office does which is 5:00pm. Sites are right on top of each other. It is clean but quirky campground. My main complaint is the pool closing 3 hours before the sun goes down.

Nice park in poor location. Downhill from the office has pervasive road noise from the confluence of I40, I26, and I240.
