A Relaxing Spot Far From Anywhere

We found this spot by accident while in the Finger Lakes and it is a crazy hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Is it close to anything worth visiting? NO. Do you get cell service or wifi? Haha. Can you easily go out for food or supplies? Hope you like driving! But what it does have are HUGE green spaces and a lake and quiet and fresh air, to relax and do nothing at all. There is a VERY good on-site restaurant that is only open for dinners that most of the full-timers drive their golf carts too that kept surprising us with how good the chicken wings, or fried catfish, or hard cider was- we ate there every chance we could. So in review, if you have the ability to entertain yourself and want to just get away and chill with your family in a beautiful park with one great on-site fried food restaurant, Hejamada is the place for you. Also they have Slush Puppies in the office.

Very Nice Park

This place is kind of in the middle of nowhere and not the easiest to get to from the highway, but it’s a really nice park. It was like camping on a golf course, lots of open grassy space that was well maintained. Had a nice pond with trees and benches, a stream, a playground and just lots of space. The lots themselves aren’t huge but there’s just so much space to walk around that it feels very open. People are next to you but not immediately behind or in front of you. They don’t seem to feel the need to put as many lots as possible on their land which gives it a nice feel. And the best part is the snack bar on site. The guy knows how to fry food! We ate there half the nights and it was always good. The Angry Orchard on tap was also really awesome.

Great Location

Our family loves thus location. The spacious sites and on site amenities complete any camping trip. They are located near so many local attractions that its a great place to be. The camp store and on site restaurant are a gem! Friendly people and well run! We love the pool.
