Stayed just for the night, showed up at 7 when they were closing and the gentleman working that night was still happy to help get us a tent spot. Campground was very big but felt safe. Very close to the Adirondacks. Shower and bathhouse was very clean and neat. Great place to stay for passing through. Close to town for food and gas.

Good Sam Rating Is A Laugh
Not pet friendly. No dog park, poop bags or receptacles. Web site says guarded and gated. Nope to the gate and if there was security they must be incognito. Ping pong and pool table also advertised are not playable. Weeds galore.
Pool is clean. It was quiet .

Friendly staff, easy hook up, clean bathrooms and showers. Pet friendly. Great location. About 2 mi from the main town. Convenient bike path right across from entrance. Bring your bike. Great paved trail. Will be back for sure.

Confusing Assignment Of Site
We enjoyed our overnight stay. Decent sites, facilities. But when we called to ask about availability, we were assigned a site that is outside of the regular campground. We assumed that the park was full, but found out (when we arrived to check in) that there were several empty sites, including a few pull through (which would have been extremely convenient as we tow a car, and had to leave very early the next day.). We were given an "inside" site when we asked about the availability of a site. Just kind of confused that we weren't originally assigned a place that would better suit our needs, since there were sites available.

Stayed A Week In July 2017
Very nice, very well kept and clean.
Sites seem to range from completely shaded/wooded to no shade with full grass.
The concrete fire pit was great and easy for making a quick camp fire (always buy wood locally, to protect forests from devastating insects).
Excellent, new, private bath/shower rooms.
Nice and close to the base area of Lake George. An easy & speedy (careful!) all downhill bike-ride trail to get to town, of course means an all uphill ride home, but uphills were gradual and not very steep.

Perfect For Lake George!
Very nice campground. Very clean and well kept. Location is perfect for spending time in Lake George Village and has a great bike/hiking path between them. If you don't plan on leaving campground, you may find amenities a little lax, like a small pool, but each site has a nice big, new picnic table and a great concrete fire/cooking pit. Also a nice bed of crushed gravel for your RV, surrounded by grass. Right next door are carnival rides $25 day pass and a Wild West park with huge zip line $45, saloon, restaurant, bakery and arcade.
