Not Bad
Looks like a peaceful spot, barb wired area for campground, no connections. Picnic tables/fire pit. Pit toilet 1st come 1st serve. gravel spots, nicely spaced but trees make it a tight fit. Big rigs use caution. Didn’t stay.
We stayed at a group site off Hwy 54- on Red cloud road. Called- Gallinas group site-No connections, dirt, pit toilets. We were the only ones. Hwy can be noisy.. can get muddy if for some reason it rains. 😂

Relaxing
Stayed over the Labor Day weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even though it was busy due to the holiday and the beginning of hunting season. The NFS website does warn it is busy during the fall hunting season otherwise you would probably find yourself camping alone. No hookups, cell service was minimal at best. Verizon 1 bar 3G, Tmobile intermittent 1 bar. Will definitely return. Oh, and it’s free.
