Great Campground
We stayed 3 nights and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We did not have a reservation and they found us a spot for all 3 nights. We paid $40.50 with a KOA discount. Cable and internet provided.

Be sure to use a water pressure regulator. We blew out the O ring on our new $300 water pump and the check valve going to the water tank. Yes there is a 2" × 4" note on the counter when you check in and on sentence on the park information page. No I did see either before I hooked up and turned that valve. You would think they might mention it at check in or even better put a note at the valve. I suggested it at thhe office when I bought their regulator and barely got an acknowledgment never mind and apology. Oh yea, pool was closed too. The up side is the prices at the store are fair. That's about it.

It's A Shame
How can all these rude people on here be so mean and rude Alamogordo is a small little retirement place and yes it is low on $$.bt look at the pandemic times right now everyone is either depressed or going through so much!! And all y'all rich born with a golden spoon out you a** are being picky instead of being great ful!?! SMH .I love this place I'm born and raised here! Yes there are goods and bads as well as every where .but why wright such discriminating rude things .Have a blessed Day and stay safe:-)

We stayed for a couple nights while visiting White Sands National Park. It was clean. Friendly staff. We did hear a train nearby, but it was not a constant issue. It is surrounded by industrial areas and a trashy mobile home park, but the KOA is fenced and separate.

Noisy
This camp ground really tries to maintain the same standards as other KOAs but it seems to be on the downward slide. From afar it seems to be a standard KOA, however, once you start your stay you recognize some issues.
The cons:
The campground is surrounded by either run down trailer homes or businesses. A train track is just down the street and is very active. Last night it seemed a train was blowing its horn every 45 minutes as it sped by. Some of their long term residents keep their site as if they are trying to blend in with the run down neighbors.
The pros:
The majority of the staff is very friendly. The campground itself seems to be maintained fairly well. The location in centrally located within the city.
In general, I don’t fault the campground for their surroundings but i wish others would have discussed some of this place’s drawbacks before made the decision to spent almost 40/night.

Nice Campground
Nice, level, gravel lots with shade trees between most sites. Staff very polite and helpful. There during Covid restrictions and staff using downtime to update and refresh campground.
Quiet- occasional train or jet but didn't bother us.

Super friendly couple who run this place. Clean well taken care of. Other reviews said of a noisy train and I can verify that but otherwise this a great place to stay.

Cleanest Koa Ever
This place is super clean and though it's relatively small it's one of the best KOA as we've ever been to. They do have a nice playground for the kids and there is coffee in the morning for adults for free. The laundry room is air conditioned and super large. And everyone

A Hit With Family
Having only stayed in Texas state parks, kids said "Awesome, best campsite we've ever been to, can we stay in another KOA?". They liked all the amenities like a grill, tetherball, horseshoes and pool (although it was too cold for Mom at 80 degrees and closes early when the sun goes down). Friendly staff. They let us check out sleds for White Sands (free). Easy drive to White Sands to play. Dog park ok but dog definitely preferred it over the gravel that is typical for the area landscape.

Off the main street, but you can still hear a bit of traffic. There's a train near by that runs at night and around 5am. If that don't get you up the trucks starting up, I'm guessing are going to work, at 530am should get you out of bed. Other than that it was clean, nice bathrooms, clean showers. Good place to stop and kick the sand off

First KOA And Was A Great Stay
Couple that run it are extremely nice, grounds were clean, easy pull through with our 26' trailer. All hook ups for easy cheat camping. Wifi worked way better than I expected it to! Small shop inside had a couple hoses I needed and not crazy marked up! Would definitely stay again!

Great KOA and very clean. The girls loved the pool and they gave us sliders for the dunes. Spaces are separated by walls and trees. Very nice park

Super Nice People
The host at this Camp were very accommodating. They had sleds for us to use on the White Sands National Park. They were always very pleasant. The facilities were clean and everything you need. And they even had entertainment in the form of Foosball and ping pong along with it television and Lounge area. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Full Timers
This is one of the best places I've ever stayed at. Kelly and Sandy are the owners, they are doing something every day to improve their camp grounds. GREAT please to stay.

Best KOA
I've been staying here every time I'm in Alamo. Exceptionally clean and quiet (with the exception of a occasional passing train about 1/2 mile away). Sandy & Kelly are always on hand to do anything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! The laundry is bright and clean. The bathrooms and showers first rate. Located in town so shopping, restaurants, and local sites are nearby.
