Here’s the scoop, campground is awesome. Hike to the river is great . Campground is very clean and so are the restrooms. Showers are very heavily used. The park is not staffed. They have no host, and they do not answer the phone. They use that awful reservation Company . And to complicate things even more there is no cell service there whatsoever. They have a chalkboard there with the reservations but it is not accurate. lf you’re a walk up such as me fortunately they have plaques On the sites that say if they are available for that night. Fortunately the Park service does drive-through frequently

Great Location To Trails

Had a nice time here. Spacious and natural sites. Clean bathrooms and showers. Great location to dry river and Saco river trailheads. Hiked to the suspension bridge over the dry river this morning. If it had a dump station I would have rated it a 5

Location, Location, Location

If you're a hiker and you're OK camping without utilities, then this is the campground for you! Spacious sites with elbow room between them and fantastic facilities that are meticulously cleaned. Reasonably priced showers (lots of HOT water) and even a laundry. Trails from within campground and across the street. The Crawford Notch area is absolutely gorgeous! My ONLY complaint: no dump station.
