Nice Stopover

Some sites big enough for big rigs, dirt road in is easy 4miles? Dark and quiet all to ourselves, light snow. Vault Restrooms are clean seems taken care of regularly. Creek flows pretty good, seems a bit muddy though. Trash cans plenty, posts for lanterns and a visitor book. Flipped through some of the logs and noted crickets may be an issue in warmer months.

WCC History Here

Ok campground right by a pretty creek. Sites are large enough for a trailer or small motorhome. Some local rowdies came in around 3:00 am hooping & hollering and blasting their music full volume. They left in about 1/2 hour. Otherwise quiet. This used to be a base camp for one of the WCC projects started by FDR in the 30's. It's located about 20 mi out of Battle Mountain off I 80. No fee.
