Worst Campground Ever
First for the positive....we're gone!
Now for the negative. In 7 years and 100+ campgrounds, this is by far the worst campground we've stayed at. The entire campground is a dump. The restrooms and laundry room are nasty.
The owner has a terrible attitude and was mean to everyone.
BEWARE of the Blackwidows.

Horrible place. Sewer and electric didn’t work and site wasn’t level. Went to Border Inn RV park where site was level, electric and sewer worked. This place wouldn’t refund money. Skip this place!

Great Spot To Visit Great Basin
We loved this campground! You can’t get any closer to the park and it had everything we needed; electric hook up, beautiful laundry facilities and clean bathrooms with showers. It was a perfect spot to visit Great Basin. They also have a food stand that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner if you’re not up for cooking.

Peaceful little spot
This park has what you need if you are entirely self contained. There is no fancy pool or clubhouse, but the electric is reliable.
Our spot did not have a dump, but there was one available.
Located Right outside the entrance to Great Basin NP - basically, a block down & turn right. The surface is gravel and rock, requires a little leveling. There are showers & bathrooms etc…but didn’t use them so don’t know about them. Didn’t see much of the staff. Must have cash or check.

Broken Promises
We stayed 1 night (May 11) at Whispering Elms. We had reserved an RV site with full hook-ups. When we arrived the manager said that our site had no sewer hook-up because kids had put rocks down it. Construction on electric-vehicle charging stations within the campground had closed a few sites unexpectedly, he said, but he promised $10.00 off. However, our credit card was charged for the full amount that evening. We phoned in the morning and were told the manager was off-duty, but someone wrote down the information. Later, Keith called us and said an adjustment would be made and $10.00 refunded on our credit card. That was 10 days ago and still no refund. Bad way to do business! An older park like this needs a reputation for service and honesty but the focus seems to be on motel guests' electric vehicles, a worthy cause, but the campground obviously needs attention.

GEM in the GREAT BASIN
We came here not knowing exactly what to expect and what we found was a quiet, clean, well equipped campground in the beautiful Great Basin. The RV spots are nice and roomy, with full hook ups. We used the laundry facility, it's the nicest, cleanesest I've seen. They even have clothes lines, I was able to hang out our blankets to dry in the breeze. They smell amazing....reminds me of childhood.
They're right across the road from the Great Basin NP visitors center!
Chuck & Jen are the owners, and they take care of everything. They helped us out tremendously while we were here. They're kind, hardworking people!
We highly recommend this spot for your next camping trip!
Feel free to ask me questions!

Didn't look that great. Fortunately they didn't have a spot available. We found a better alternative at the NV- UT Border.

Fine For One Night
Our expectations were low; bathrooms were old but clean. We were thankful for a place to stay while visiting the park.

Skipped
Won't rate too low since we didn't actually stay there, but my wife didn't appreciate the condescending "sweetie" comment when she called to ask about spots. She was told they didn't have any 30 amp spots and when she replied a 50 amp spot was fine since we have an adapter, the guy on the phone responded poorly and lost any potential business from us in the future.

Great Place To Camp
The hosts couldn't have been more friendly! The bathroom was well maintained. Park itself was clean. Can't beat the access to GBNP unless you boondock in the Park itself. I'd give 5 stars except the wifi wasn't very good.

Best Memories
This park is quaint. Makes you feel comfortable and at home. Laid back and easy! Great people surrounded us both campers & hosts. Will be back soon to relax

It Has the Right Location
If you have a decent size rig and want to visit Great Basin National Park, this is the place to stay. It is not attractive, spaces are not generous, our site did not have a picnic table and our RV and the next site faced each other (from close distance). We were not around much so it worked.

Close To the Park
Very handy for touring Basin National Park. Campground is pretty old with no updates. Our electric olug got very hot then we noticed that the outlet appeared to have been on fire once. We did use the other electric box without problems. Don't plan on doing wash only a few washers and dryers. One was caked with ild soap that wouldn't come out, another a lady tok her wash out of and had to wring her clothes out since the spin didn't work. The dryers run 30 minutes and dont get very warm We apent $10 to get a load dry. They say they have wifi but good luck getting it to work.

This RV park is a great option if you have a big rig, Grand Basin National Park campgrounds cannot handle big rigs!

Okay, But Not Great
This park is okay, but not really great. It's the only park with hookups near Great Basin National Park, so its location is the primary draw. The town has only the most basic services, so come prepared to be self sufficient.
