If you are looking for the bright Iights and Las Vegas atmosphere, this ain't it. One camping area is to the east on the north edge of a lake so you can fish. The other is on the same road a mile or so west and is trees and grass. Both are on a really nice mostly paved bike trail that circles the lakes and goes south into Columbus. Easy to clock off 20 mile ride on mostly paved with a little fine crushed gravel, Has electrical free - no water hookup, no flushers or showers. Run by Nebraska Public Power District. First come, first served on spots. On holiday weekends Iocals tend to fill spots up ahead of time. Lot by Lake tends to get considerable traffic, the West area not nearly so much. Great place for bicycling, shade trees, grass. West Iot is good for those wanting to get away from it all. Columbus is 25,000 and has pretty much all a person needs - eats, shopping, etc. My five star is because it is free but very nice, I've stayed at others rated 4 star that this beats.
