Stayed Here Sept 13, 2024

We were headed north west thru NE and needed a place to park the van.... what a nice surprise this park is!! We used electric hook up as it was in the low 40s at night and filled our water tank in the morning. Only a few other campers while we were here. The bathhouse toilets and hot showers were much appreciated. Very quiet! Looks like the city here is really trying to make this nice. Have planted grass and some new trees that maybe needed more water over the summer. Lots of sites for us to choose from. Lots of dirt road beyond and fishing in the creek. Didn't really get to walk the dog much as there was an abundance of goat heads and red ants. At dusk we saw a wonderful display of dragonflies all around. Must have been 100s. Beautiful! Would stop again but not in the summer as this may b FCFS and I don't like to count on something too much when I don't have a plan B.
