Good for boondocking

Nice place but thieves stole our camp chairs, leveling blocks, and step stool on a Sunday afternoon while in Butte for a few hours.

Gorgeous and Free

Right off the highway, very scenic and far enough from the road to be quiet. Will visit again. Loved the boulders! Dispersed camping, no hook-ups. When you reach the parking area with the dump toilet on the right, keep going straight onto the gravel road across the railroad tracks and cattle guards and you'll find several spots with fire rings up on the hill on the left after the road curves right.
