Essentials
This is a reasonable stop as we're just passing through. There's no trees at the sites although the broader park does offer trails (didn't do). The city's website says prior registration required although there were registrations in the on-site drop box. The bathhouse is a mobile facility with 2 small shower rooms and 1 larger for ADA.

Great campground well maintained by a beautiful park, conservation land , and a beautiful creek to play in.

Good Place To Visit
We came to visit with our grandson who is at Ft Leonard Wood. Our stay was pleasant and nice. There were a few long term campers and wasn’t noisy. A creek flowed nearby and had full hookups. A shower and bathroom with handicap accessible. We called ahead and reserved a spot. Well cared for area will comeback again for visit

Beware Of Rain And Flooding
We planned on being here 3 weeks. Were evacuated once for a night and then the second time for several nights. We didn't go back in. It's a great place for overnight. Good in decent weather. But if the creek hits 7', be prepared to move.

This was a great spot to stop for the night. It was not far from the freeway and had all the hookups. There was also a little trailer that had individual showers and bathrooms. I wouldn't stay here for a vacation though. You pay at the drop box when you pull in.

Campground
We rolled our house on wheels into the campsite without any problems. Lots of space for our 42ft 5th wheel. 2 days later we were evacuated for flooding. We drove by the following day and the entire site was a lake. It is extremely important that they have a good contact #. We finally went back and to our supprise, a shower/bath trailor has been added for convenience. It is beautiful. There is no cable or WiFi but at $300 a month it doesn't matter to us. There are large back in spaces and pull throughs on gravel with 50amp, water, dump. You pick up an envelope at the entrance, fill it out and enclose payment. Or, you can go to the Waynesville court house and do the same thing during business hours. The grass is kept up nicely. 10 minutes to Ft. Lenordwood. Waynesville school district and there is a bus stop for HS and middle school. (I don't know about the elementary school.) Alot of families come for basic training graduation. The courthouse will reserve a space for you.
