June family reunion
We spent four days meeting up with family from several states. We arrived a day before the others and reserved a single campsite for our 5th wheel. We especially liked this shady space though we had to hook up and fill our tanks from community water and there was no sewer on this end of campground 3. It Wasn’t a problem. Day two we moved to the family campsite area where we had one 5th wheel and 3 tents for three more days. No shade, but water and sewer is available. The hosts were extremely nice, the river was beautiful and very close by. Overall we had about 28 people scattered about the cottages, hotel in Campground. Almost none of us had mobile phone service which was a bit of a challenge Trying to coordinate. We did have Wi-Fi so we could text through Facebook. The campground store is open 24 hours a day and had a nice selection. Lots of people were fishing and it looked like a lot of them were catching trout. Swim area was available in river. Pool wasn’t open. Nice area.

Disappointed
Check in was a mess. Stayed in Campgprund 2 but had to check in at Campground 1 but we did not see this indicated anywhere. Once we did, staff was not very friendly. Very crowded but we knew it would be since it’s a holiday weekend. However, neighboring campers were loud, kids riding though our site and dogs barking. Pool was closed for the season even though it was supposed to be open through Labor Day. This was also not indicated anywhere.

Very good park for family and trout "catching". Windy roads going in. Go to Tim's fly shop to see what is working on trout.

Mo State Parks
Stay every year and trout fish. Never had any problems and no loud drinkers.
